The taste of the Rousset-les-Vignes wineyard
The deep soil of sand and clay, well drained and fresh, as well as the altitude (340m) gives to the Rousset-les-Vignes wines an exceptional acidity and an unmatched freshness among the wines of the southern Côtes-du-Rhône. Composed of grenache and syrah, the typical varieties of the appellation, the vintage « Vieilles Vignes » comes from vines planted since more than 60 years. It provides a velvety wine with long notes of red fruits, cassis, black cherry and spicy blackberries. The rosé 2016, a PETNAT (naturaly sparkling), contains a bit of residual sugar that gives it a moeleux balanced by some bubbles. It present also a very beautiful fruity taste and remains completely "natural". The 2021 rosé, a Côtes-du-Rhône Villages, composed of the same Grenache and Sirah, has a very beautiful fruitiness, a long mouth and the minerality of Grenache.
